My first

learn about fishing. Thank

Keep putting pets on Jenna for me, she’s a fine dog.

Thanks for converting a hunter into a fly fisherman.

trip and who would have loved to come if he were physically able.
Special thanks to Pat for our morning hunt for ducks.

Pat,
Lisa, Bob & Teen,
Again a wonderful and most memorable trip.
One should always remember where he or she was on Sept 11, 2001.
I remember well. I was with Italio River Adventures on this day to remember,
so I am back for my 2nd trip this year.
I spent the week with my friends Dick, Larry, Don & Skip.
Again you showed the finest of hospitality as well as your
friendship, it was a real pleasure converting my friends from spin
casting to Fly fishing (Thank for your help Pat).
One could not have asked for better fishing.
The Silver run was excellent.
We landed 2 Silvers in the 19 to 20 pound range on fly rods. What a thrill.
I plan to return next year if all stays well.
Thanks again for another great trip!!!

Thank
you for all those mental snapshots that can never be properly
transferred to Kodak paper … the pod of belugas at Hubbard Glacier;
the plethora of bear tracks (no bears); the multitude of wolf traces
(wolves in packs); the red fox in the moonlight; all around the alder
bushes. Jenna chasing the
weasel; the rain, the fog, the sunshine, seeing from Fairweather to Mt.
Elias; eagle after eagle perched on most bleached logs; the seals a the
mouth of the Akwe ( I counted 15 heads); the sunset & barbeque on
the beach – and the moonrise. I
forgot to mention fish … but there are a gazillion.. and being
pampered, indulged, and understood.
Pat, you know the fish, you know the rivers, but you also know
your clients, and that is the gift that makes you such a wonderful
guide. I can’t wait to
come back, and share your special place once again.
Thank
you

And as
it goes, the life cycle of the client and the salmon … ours has run
its course and salmon are yet in the thick of theirs … thank you for
ours and for the warmth, hospitality and acceptance into your Italio for
a while .. it has been an honor … each day brought new experiences
that enriched my life … not to mention the ton of salmon that were
caught (literally) … hope to be back and share this again… all the
best John

Bob
& Pat,
Thanks
again for a wonderful wilderness retreat!
Even though I don’t fish.
I really enjoyed just hanging at the beach following bear and
wolf tracks, riding on Honda and checking out the seals.
I also enjoyed Tanis’ company – he reminds me of the simple
joys in life spraying water, playing in the sand, etc!
The food, lodging, hospitality was fabulous – Many thanks J
Anna
I
am so happy Rob and Todd met you guys!
This has been a very rewarding friendship, one that I know we
have gotten the better end of. If you ever need a place to stay in Seattle or a home cooked
meal – Keep us in mind. –

Thanks
for making me a guide. It came with all the perks.
Cold shower, ignorant clients and tents to sleep in.
I am looking for medicated insurance for my arm.
Now I know what the difference is between a walk and a hike.
The cooking was great as usual and the waitress was skinny. Hope to see you this winter.

Bob
& Pat,
Thank
you so much for all your patience in teaching me now to fly fish (and
not laughing too hard each time the fly bounced off my head).
Just seeing all the fish was amazing.
You guys really made the experience wonderful the scenery and
lack of people was very relaxing. I
hope I can bring kids here one day to see it all.
Thanks for the hikes and the great food.
Good luck to you in the seasons to come and may you always have a
